1 cup water
6 drops red food coloring
3 tablespoons strawberry gelatin powder, heaping tablespoons
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1¼ cups sugar
1 quart strawberries
1 pie shell, cooked

Bring water and food coloring to a boil. 

Meanwhile mix the remaining ingredients together. 

1. Add dry ingredients to boiling water and cook until thick.

2. Add the fresh strawberries to the cooked pie shell. 

3. Pour cooked mixture over the berries.

4. Chill for about 2 hours.
