I have traveled the continents on the globe with the exception of Africa and South America.  Donna and I have many photographs of Europe and the USA including vacations, shopping trips, weddings, and our grandchildren.  We share some family history and memories.  We are Christian; we believe the Bible and our Lord Jesus Christ.  We provide online Bibles in many languages, study guides for the Bible, and an American Translation of the Bible called "The Holy New Covenant".

The most extensive section of our web home is dedicated to food.  We love to cook and to dine in and dine out.  We have recipes we have gathered from around the world and family.  We also offer many cooking tips.

Who We Are

We are a family in pursuit of service to our Lord, Jesus Christ and the love He shares with us.  In this effort we strive to live according to His divine will.  Donna and I have been saved from sin by the grace of God.  We believe the Bible to be the divine Word of God and we take it seriously.  (2 Peter 1:16-21 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Consequently, we strive to live our lives according to God's Word.  We admit freely that we don't "have it all figured out," but we are still learning and growing in our relationship with God and with one another.

    • ...You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve. (Matthew 4:10)

The Christian Counter

We are American citizens from the United States of America.  We honor our flag that waves proudly as a symbol for all men and women to be free from political oppression.

We are the Hackett family from the great state of Tennessee.  We still call Clarksville home and we believe our city to be a great place to live, work, play, and nurture your children.  However, we live in Chester, Virginia and have adopted it as our new home.  Thom is retired from federal service and Donna is still employed in the Federal Service.

We extended our family to include the Hammond's from the state of Florida.  Bill and Julia Hammond from Eustis have shared their son, James with us.  Now we call James our son.  He and our daughter, Kristy, currently live in Gulfport, Mississippi with three of our granddaughters named Katelyn Nicole Hammond, Morgan Elizabeth Hammond, and Aubrey Danielle Hammond.

We also extended our family to include the Purdel's from the country of Romania.  Niculaie and Elena Purdel from Bucharest have shared their son, Emanuel with us.  Now we call Emanuel our son.  He and our daughter, Karmen, currently live in Chester, Virginia with one of our granddaughters Adina Ruth Purdel, Bianca Purdel and our grandson named Jared Thomas Purdel.
